Phillip Schofield has no current plans for a television comeback

Phillip Schofield is not not planning a return to television or radio anytime soon friends of the disgraced presenter have claimed.

It was reported that Schofield was gearing up for a TV comeback following the publication of ITV’s report into his affair with a younger colleague while he was presenting This Morning.

Friends close to the 61-year-old fallen star have indicated that Schofield had been “dreading” what the review would uncover about his relationship with the junior male colleague, while he was married to Stephanie Lowe, the mother of his two daughters.

The report cleared ITV bosses of a cover-up, after there had been suggestions that they had known about Schofield’s affair, which had shocked his former friend Holly Willoughby, who was insistent she had no idea about it when the affair was revealed.
