Christmas Spiced Braised Red Cabbage

This recipe call for golden raisins in the salad, but regular raisins may be used if you’d like. Instead of pecans, make it with walnuts or sunflower seeds.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 03 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 03 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 01 small head red cabbage, finely chopped or thinly sliced or shredded
  • 01 medium red onion, finely chopped or thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup golden raisins
  • 04 tablespoons chopped pecans

Step 01: Gather the ingredients.

Step 02: In a bowl, combine 4 cup mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar.

Step 03: In a serving bowl, combine the cabbage, spring onion, raisins, and pecans and toss to blend.

Step 04: Stir in the mayonnaise mixture. Add more mayonnaise, as needed. Serve as a side for your next cookout, pulled pork dinner, brunch or holiday dinner and enjoy.
