A Gorgeous Pakistani-American Women Fauzia Janjua makes history as Elected Mayor in New Jersey

Pakistani-American woman Fauzia Janjua has achieved a historic milestone by being elected as the mayor of Mount Laurel in the state of New Jersey, USA.

USA, New Jersey: Fauzia Janjua, a Pak-origin US national from Chakwal, has been elected as a town mayor of New Jersey.

Janjua took oath of her new responsibility on Holy Quran alongside her husband and children at the Township Hall. In her speech on the occasion, Fauzia Janjua Janjua says she is honored to be the first Pakistani and Muslim woman mayor. During oath she was holding the Holy Quran. Officials / assembly members administered the oath of office to Fauzia Janjua.

Fauzia’s father Idris belongs to Chakwal from Punjab, while mother hails from Lahore. Her father migrated to the US in’70s where she was born. Fauzia Janjua’s commitment to community service has been a lifelong passion, with a particular focus on teaching prisoners and underprivileged children. She established an NGO to actively engage in community service, aiming to improve people’s lives.With her election to the town, the mayoral position has gone to Democrats for the first time in 36 years. Prior to her election, the mayor slot was always held by a Republican representative.

In addition to her political responsibilities, Fauzia Janjua has also dedicated efforts to showcase positive aspects of Muslim culture to the world, leveraging her role as Deputy Mayor to promote understanding and appreciation.
